The core of our technology is the ADF, an active power module that can be used in many parts of the electrical network, working as a filter to reduce noise on the power grid or in newer application like energy storage systems, helping the power grid to maintain stability.
The power grid stability is set under pressure in almost every country in the world today.
New power sources like solar and wind are not as stable as yesterdays coal and nuclear based power plants and the introduction of electrical vehicles and millions of charging stations is pushing the grid even harder.
With our new solutions where we add battery power to the ADF we can help to solve many of these problems and reduce a lot of the stress going on in the power grids. Frequency stabilization, peak-shaving and load balancing are some of the problems we tackle every day in scale from a few hundred kilowatts up to several Mega Watts.
Some of our recent projects include re-use of vehicle batteries, which means that degraded batteries removed from vehicles can be given a “second life” in a less stressful environment than sitting in a moving vehicle. By doing this we not only solve the power related problems in the grid, we also help to reduce the need for scarce raw-materials, often a critical factor for the globally fast growing battery production.
With our Netpower range of products, we have energy efficient solutions for direct current networks aimed at the fast growing datacenter industry, energy efficient buildings, power backbones for 5G mobile networks and infrastructure for EV charging networks. All of which can be powered by our solar-energy solutions.
In 2018, we acquired the Magchoke technology, a new patented inductor technology never seen before. With this new technology we can source our own products as well as external customers with a world-class inductor technology for all power related applications.
Since the start in 2001 ADF used in power filter applications has been our main offering, serving more than 5 000 customers in more than 50 countries. It is now the brand to beat within power quality and active filtering thanks to technologies like sensorless operation, resonance damping, advanced user interface and marine approvals. Further down the road, we added the Netpower DC technology to our portfolio, as well as the Magchoke inductor technology.
We went forward and integrated all these business areas and technology into a wide range of offerings, including solutions for energy storage, peak shaving, active filtering and solar power applications. Our new product portfolio is now broader than ever and we are ready for a global expansion of much larger scale and our goal is to triple our sales in the coming three years.
