New partner Deloitte – matchmaker between larger companies and scale-ups

Deloitte is a new partner to Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day and we met up with Helena Nordström. Helena has, in addition to her long experience in strategy and sustainability consulting, five years in early stage sustaintech startups in her backpack, both as founder and board member. As Head of Sustainability Strategy at Deloitte, sustainable innovation is a major theme, which she focuses on both through supporting larger corporates to set up collaborations with start-ups and scale-ups, and through supporting large investors in this space. Deloitte also has their own innovation accelerator supporting impact start-ups.

”If the change we need is going to happen fast enough, early innovators must scale, and our industrial companies need to work with the start-up sector in sustaintech to move forward. Start-ups and scale-ups need the resources, platform and knowledge from the larger companies – and here in the intersection Deloitte is a facilitator” says Helena Nordström.

There is an urgency and therefore cooperation and acceleration is needed according to Helena. At Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day she will be part of one of the investor panels, and make connections with both innovators and investors.
