The Next Generation
of Energy and Industry

At a time when short-term priorities often dominate decision-making, Sweden SustainTech Venture Day brings together founders, investors, industry leaders, and policymakers with a shared long-term vision: that the technologies, business models, partnerships, and capital shaping today’s energy transition will define tomorrow’s energy economy.

Through curated company presentations, international speakers, expert discussions, and high-level networking, participants explore how innovation, strategic collaboration, and patient capital can accelerate the deployment of breakthrough solutions, strengthen industrial competitiveness, and create lasting value for generations to come.

For innovators

Does your company belong on the SSVD stage? We welcome applications from two types of innovators: energy scaleups with proven market traction and strong growth potential, and energy breakthroughs — earlier-stage companies with revolutionizing technology.

Energy Scaleups: Companies with proven market traction, a strong value proposition, and an ambitious growth trajectory. Your solution should have clear relevance for the energy transition and a business model with international scaling potential.

Energy Breakthroughs: Earlier-stage companies developing breakthrough technologies with the potential to transform the energy sector. We’re looking for frontier innovations that address major industry challenges and can create significant long-term impact.

About

Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day

Established in 2018 by the Swedish Energy Agency, Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day (SSVD) acts as an exclusive event connecting investors with cleantech companies. Evolving from its start and strengthened by the surge of Swedish sustainable companies, SSVD now functions as a platform to showcase carefully vetted companies that have progressed beyond the seed investment phase—spanning from A round entities to recently listed corporations across various sectors. Through a combined focus on key sector growth opportunities and successful investment strategies, SSVD encourages investors to lean in.

Fast forward to 2025, Sweden’s cleantech sector has matured significantly, with several companies securing substantial venture capital and growing from seed to scale-up stage. As a European frontrunner in sustainable innovation, Sweden is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for scalable climate solutions. This creates clear investment opportunities across the spectrum—from angel investors and family offices to large sustainability-focused funds.
