At Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day on the 31st of May 2023, we met up with investors, entrepreneurs and organizers to interview them about the current investment environment in Sustaintech. Here are some interesting thoughts on the investment climate for energy transition investments by Anna Engman of Mine Storage. We get to hear about the risks investors are facing and evaluating at present. Jacob Hjalmarsson of Arboair gives us an insight on the fact that the largest gap is when you are in the growth stage at the moment, and the environment may be tough.
This is further emphasized by Regina Summer, Director of Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day, talking about the unevenly distributed investments. Richard Törnblom of Atmoz, who has been at the event since the start, reflects on the statistics presented on stage by Boel Swartling, and when this was an early adopter crowd six years ago when the event was started, and how much has happened when Sustaintech now is a mainstream investment area. Several of the companies participating then are now unicorns or listed companies. Claes Fredriksson of Liquid Wind talks about his day which coincided well with launch of building their first electric fuel factory. Finally we get a comment on female founders by Karin Henriksson who was looking for investments in digital sustaintech solutions and was part of the special Female founders breakfast in the morning.
